Samsung Galaxy A8 Review.

When the OnePlus was produced, we were all left in a state of awe. This was because the phone came with lots of impressive features that was worth talking about. But what if I tell you Samsung just came out with what could be a better version of theirs. The Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with similar or slightly better features. I’m talking about features which made it one of the best midrange phones out there today. The price and design, coupled with the smooth performance of the phone have given us a reason why it would be great to talk about the phone. Here is a full review of what the Galaxy A8 is all about.

What do you expect to have from a phone that is one of Samsung’s latest mobile phones? Of course, you can expect a phone with some of the latest features you can find in a phone. Let’s highlight some of such features:

Features of the Samsung Galaxy A8 mobile phone.

–         Samsung Galaxy A8 – The Design

If the design of the phone is what’s of concern to you, then you won’t be disappointed. When it comes to designs, Samsung doesn’t hold back. It has what is known as a notch-less edge -to – edge screen which is about 5.6inch. The phone has an 18:5:9 aspect ratio.  Also, I’m sure you might be wondering if what’s at the edge of the screen will be visible, yes, they are. On the rear side of the phone lies a square camera which is placed in the center. One of the things you will notice with the phone is how Samsung has swerved away from what they are normally known for. Now, the fingerprint reader has been moved, you will now find it under the rear camera.

Speaking of the first impression, you will notice the Glass 4 which is well fitted at the back of the phone, just to give it extra protection. If you need to protect your phone from drops and scrapes, Glass 4 is what you need. Did I also mention that the Samsung Galaxy A8 is dust and water-resistant? If the phone is submerged in water, you need not fear. Just make sure the depth of the water is not more than 1.5 m and it shouldn’t be more than 30 minutes underwater.

–         Samsung Galaxy A8 – Display.

You will feel the effect of the Super AMOLED screen technology. The A8 benefits from this technology. What that means is that users should expect an accurate contrast level coupled with a top-notch image quality. Something that’s way out of the box.

–         Camera.

We need not say much about the camera features of the phone. Come on! It is Samsung! You can’t expect less. At the back of the phone, you have a 16MP f/1.7 unit complete with what is known as a phase-detect autofocus coupled with a single LED flash. The front camera, on the other hand, is a 16MP f/1.7 unit. Another Camera which is just 8MP (also on the front side of the phone) is used for depth – detection. What the depth – detection helps with is to allow users to do a live – preview selfie with a touch of portrait bokeh effect.

–         Battery life and General Phone Performance.

Speaking of the battery capacity of the phone, you might think “well, its Samsung.” You are right! When compared with the OnePlus, the battery is pretty strong. a 3000 mAh battery capacity which makes it possible for you to use the phone for about 17 hours during a continuous video playback test before going off.

Pros of the Samsung Galaxy A8.

  • The Bezel-less design is top-notch.
  • It has a long-lasting battery life which is quite impressive coming from a Samsung Phone
  • The Pixel display is perfect.

  • The price is quite expensive.
  • It has limited Storage.
  • The GPU is poor for such price.
