On your android phone, hold down the home button but if you’ve got the voice activation on, just say “Ok Google”, this will turn on the assistant. Once the assistant is on, you can command it or ask any question. iPhone users can use the Google Assistant App too; once you’ve downloaded it from the App Store, open it and ask a question or give it a command.

Next, let’s talk about using Google Assistant with Google Maps. The AI assistant is so versatile. You can use it with Google Maps. For instance, if you need Google Assistant to help find the shortest route to your destination, just enter an address in the google maps app on your smartphone. Enter your school address in the google maps app; once you do that, you can say “take me to school” and it will retrieve the information for the Maps app to explain the right route based on your current location – it can do this verbally or simply show you.

Apart from knowing about the best route to the location you’ve inputted, you can also check the latest information, traffic updates about closed roads around you – this is one important app to have, useful for drivers too, as, you won’t need to look at phone’s screen for directions as the AI Assistant will verbally do that for you.

You can use the Google Assistant to book flights and hotels. So, when you are planning your next vacation, use the Google assistant to explore the right flight options. Well, you can also use the AI Assistant to translate language and convert currencies.
