Gionee GN5005 Smartphone – All you need to know about the Gionee Phone.

Gionee GN5005

The company ‘Gionee’ is undoubtedly one of China’s best smartphone producing company. It is known as Gionee GN5005 because it was certified by the Chinese Telecommunication Authority (Also known as TENAA) with a GN5005 model number. Thanks to TENAA, we can know what the company is really about coupled with its specifications. You can find it on the Chinese Certification online platform.

One of Gionee’s oldest phones, it sports a 5 – inch TFT screen display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The Gionee GN5005 runs on a 4 000mAh battery which is quite impressive.

The Full Specifications of the Gionee GN5005.

–         Design and Display

The new smartphone sports a Capacitive Touchscreen, a 5 – inch screen display. A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) IPS, Multi – touch screen. It has a 2.5D curved glass at the top. Pixel Density of 294 PPI and can easily recognize 16 Million different colors.

According to the Gionee, some of the other features that the phone comes with include a front and rear camera. The front camera is a shooter. There is nothing really special about the design and one can easily forgive Gionee for this as it is one of the oldest generations of the company’s Android product line. Produced 2 – 3 years ago, the design looks broad and edgy. With a touch of basicity. The phone measures 144.3 x 70.5 x 8.6mmm and weighs 140 gms.

–         The Gionee GN5005 Camera

The Gionee GN5005 has a pair of 8MP camera (rear) coupled with another 5MP rear camera. Both sides have a LED flash. Some of the phone’s camera features include: A Geotagging, Autofocus, FHD Record (which is 1080p) and can take 30 frames in one second – that sounds cool.

–         Hardware and Software.

The software side of the phone includes having Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo3.5 UI. The phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, micro SB 2.0, Wi-Fi, dual – sim, and of course, GPS.

So, what’s really under the phone’s booth? The phone house’s a relatively powerful engine. A 1.25GHz MediaTek’s MT6755 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM. On the storage level, the Gionee GN5005 comes with a 16GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card.

The phones Network supports 2G (850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM). 3G (850/900/1900/2100) with a speed of 42.2 Mbps (HSDPA), 5.76 Mbps (HSUPA) and 4G: 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800) or LTE 700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600)

–         Battery.

On the battery front, there lies some question as the phone is powered by a 4000mAh Li-Ion battery which when compared to Gionee M2017 which is powered by 7000mAh is quite small. Why Gionee would turn down the battery is quite strange.

Though this is quite one of the oldest Gionee phones out there, it doesn’t take anything away from the quality of the phone. With a 5 – inch IPS LCD multi-touch display, and a relatively powerful internal memory and processor, it will be quite a good deal. That is if you don’t have a problem with the low 1.25 GHz core processor.
